Derek Connors, P.E., started Contech while working as a Mechanical Engineer for one of Erie’s largest metal fabricators. Throughout his product development journey, he would find ways to automate repetitive tasks to increase efficiency and eliminate errors. This is what ultimately led him into Software Engineering. Experience in both disciplines helps create better applications tailored to his customers’ needs.
Our Journey from 3D Printing to Software Innovation
Contech 3D Limited began as a pioneer in 3D printing and Mechanical Engineering services. Over the years, we have transformed into a comprehensive software development firm, dedicated to creating innovative solutions that drive business growth and technological progress.
Software Development group is formed to help local industries become more responsive, organized, and competitive.
Reverse Engineering services began, specifically to help older companies modernize their engineering data.
Expanded our Mechanical Engineering services, providing 3D modeling, 2D CAD, and FEA analysis to individuals and small businesses who didn’t yet have their own Engineering department.
Open for business as a 3D printing service bureau when no one else in the area was offering stereolithography (SLA) printing. We focused on water-tight, high-tolerance, and fine-detail projects with quality that others just couldn’t match.
